Which stamps should you collect

Before deciding whether to build a collection based on countries, issues, topicals or completely individual ideas – or whether to collect postage stamps simply because you like the "pretty pictures", you should save all of the stamps that you get in the mail or from other sources. When only a few stamps existed you could collect the "whole world". Today, this is impossible because there are too many stamps in the "whole world". Therefore, since every collector strives to build a complete collection, you specialize in single countries. Another idea is to collect topicals; such as animals, plants, sports, transportation, space travel and famous personalities.
